I was messing around with my old TV last weekend and couldn’t find the remote anywhere. I flipped the whole couch, checked under the dog bed, nothing. Out of pure frustration, I started googling for something and stumbled onto the idea of using my phone as a remote. Had no clue that was even possible without buying extra hardware. Honestly thought you always needed an IR blaster or some weird dongle thing. Turns out you don’t — at least not for everything.
