Hi, people! My wife and I are thinking about moving from Florida to Alaska, and the more I read, the more questions come up. I'll say right away - the decision was not spontaneous, we thought about it for a couple of years. We are not afraid of the cold (we are more afraid of the heat in Florida), but are attracted by the calm rhythm, nature, silence. Work allows - I work remotely, my wife is a teacher, it is not difficult for her to find a new place. But the move itself ... this, of course, is a quest. It is especially interesting how to organize all this physically: things, furniture, car - everything needs to be transported. I saw that National Movers seems to undertake such routes, and the reviews seem good, but I would still like to hear something more "live", personal experience. Who has actually moved such distances, especially from the south to Alaska? What is the route, timing, pitfalls? Share, if it is not difficult.
